Submitting Files for Printing

Please submit (upload) a print-ready Adobe Acrobat PDF file for your print project.  If you need assistance with creating Adobe Acrobat PDF files, we do offer native art file conversion to PDF if requested.

We offer two ink color options:  CMYK (four color processing or full color) and PMS (Pantone Matching System or “spot” color).  If your job is to be printed in spot colors, each PMS color must be specified when the order is placed or estimated.

Native Art File Conversion to PDF

If file conversion is required, ALL native files (all the pieces and parts used to create your artwork) must be provided, including all high resolution (minimum 300 dpi at 100% size) photographs and placed artwork.

We accept the following native art for conversion:

    • Adobe Illustrator (.ai) vector
    • InDesign (.idd) CS2 or CS3
    • Quark 7 (.qxd)
    • Adobe Photoshop (.psd, .jpg, .tif) CS2 or CS3.

We cannot accept Microsoft Publisher (.pub) files for printing.
All fonts must also be included or converted to outlines.

Attention InDesign Users: To avoid unexpected results, please flatten all layers before creating your print ready, high resolution PDF.

Submitting Files for Silk-Screening (T-Shirts & Most Promotional Products)

Screen printing requirements for textiles are very different than those for printing on paper. It is important that your file be constructed properly. To avoid problems or extra costs, please submit (upload) a vector, line art file created originally in Adobe Illustrator, CS2 or CS3.

A picture image that is placed into Adobe Illustrator and saved as a .EPS file is not a line art vector file. Adobe Illustrator does not convert placed picture files to line art. We also cannot accept the following file types for silk-screening:  .PUB (Microsoft Publisher), .QXD (Quark), .IND (Adobe InDesign).

Fonts and type must be converted to curves or outlines.

When calling out colors please use the Pantone Matching System (PMS) not process colors (CMYK).

If you need assistance with creating original Adobe vector files, we do offer line art creation services.  Please contact us for an estimate.
